A special celebration was held at Villa Pelletier on Monday 22 July to mark a milestone occasion; resident Ada Furby turned 110, making her the oldest known resident in WA.

The event was a sea of pink, purple and butterflies as residents and VIP's gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion. Guests included Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Julie Bishop, Southern Cross Care (SCC) Chairman John Bryant, members of the SCC Board, CEO Errol Turner, prominent members of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd congregation, a number of Ada's friends together with the residents and staff from Villa Pelletier.

This remarkable achievement attracted a strong media presence which included an article in The West Australian and news crews from Channel Seven, Nine and Ten News.

The Southern Cross Care team would like to wish Ada a very happy birthday and all the best for the coming year.
