Let's Hit the Road
Posted by Marketing on January 30, 2015

For many seniors, hitting the open road is the ultimate form of freedom. A driving holiday gives you a sense of adventure and the flexibility to explore.

Before setting off on your journey, you should prepare yourself. Ensure you have a motorist first aid kit in your car and plenty of water to last you a couple of days. If you are planning to visit remote areas, check in advance where to get fuel and water.

Have the car serviced before you set off and inspect the state of the tyres. Plan your drive and avoid driving at nightfall, when the kangaroos get active. Driving takes a lot of concentration, so take regular breaks.

If you travel regularly, you may want to consider living in a retirement village. The community setting gives an extra dimension of security when leaving your home for extended periods of time.
