SCC Farewells Two Long Standing Board Members
Posted by Alice on November 10, 2012

Southern Cross Care (SCC) wishes to announce the resignation of Tony Quinlan and Frank Prendergast from its Board of Directors. Both Tony and Frank have made a valuable contribution to the organisation and played a vital role supporting and assisting Southern Cross Care’s growth and diversification.

Tony Quinlan joined the SCC Board of Directors in 2000 and has contributed significantly since that time, helping guide the organisation to become one of the largest providers of aged care in WA. A qualified civil engineer and a Knight of the Southern Cross, Tony was a real asset to the Board and bought with him a wealth of professional expertise and knowledge.

SCC’s longest serving Board Member Frank Prendergast joined the group in 1984, while working as a Surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital. During his service Frank chaired a number of SCC Committees and in 1999 was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors where he served for six years. During this time he was also elected National Chairman of Southern Cross Care (Australia). In these positions, Frank demonstrated great commitment and enthusiasm towards the organisation. Over his 28 years of service he has made enormous contributions towards SCC in WA and nationally. He will be remembered for being both an effective and caring Board Member who always devoted 100% to the organisation.

SCC would like to extend its sincere thanks and appreciation to Tony and Frank for their service and dedication and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
