Creating Hope For Tomorrow

We believe by investing in research and development, future generations of older people will continue to have new choices to age and live well.

Innovation, Research and Development

We are focused on innovative research in health and wellness, creating the prospect of a better quality of life for future older generations of people through healthy ageing initiatives, clinical care better practices and supporting people living with chronic disease and dementia.

We are proud of our successful relationship with the University of Notre Dame Australia. We have renewed our focus on the future of teaching, research and professional development of students and staff, both at the University and SCC and now have regular placement programmes for students studying nursing or care services at our residential care homes.

Together with the University of Notre Dame Australia, we have engaged a joint Relationship Liaison Officer to direct the programme of work to ensure the benefits of partnership outcomes to improve client health and lifestyle. Projects are currently being scoped.

During the past year, we have had the opportunity to work with three PhD students from different Western Australian universities, though the Industry and PhD Research Engagement Programme iPREP. Recognised this year by Western Australian Premier, Colin Barnett, three different projects were undertaken in the area of Residential Care, Human Resources and Marketing, giving students the opportunity to make contributions towards new projects through evidence-based insights.
